About Dangme Rural Bank PLC

The Concerned effort by the Chiefs and Communities of Prampram, Kpone and Ningo Traditional areas with the active support of Bank of Ghana resulted in the establishment of Dangme Rural Bank PLC on 3rd September, 1982, the date it was authorized by the Bank of Ghana to carry on the business of Banking.

From a humble beginning of renting premises, it has grown and presently boast of a beautiful Head Office Property at Prampram. It also has Eight (8) other branches at Prampram, Ashaiman, Kpone, Tema Manhean, Old Ningo, Gbetsile, Asutsuare and Ashaiman-Lebanon.

Starting from modest beginnings in 1982 with just one branch in a rented premise, the bank has since grown to encompass eight fully networked branches. These branches meet the savings, investment, and credit needs of individuals, corporate institutions, and SMEs.

The bank has significantly impacted local communities through various scholarships, educational initiatives, and healthcare projects. Despite numerous economic challenges, the bank has shown remarkable resilience, continuing to grow and thrive. By 2023, the bank’s total assets had increased to GHS88,240,618 from the previous year's balance of GHS68,304,331.
